Columbus MAX XLR8R carbon fibre tubes and frame made with the cocuring technology. Both down tube and top tube have the innovative ‘double oval’ shape that, together with the oversize Ø35 down tube, enhance the lateral stiffness of the frame at the BB shell and the front stiffness at the head tube. The rear stay is the Columbus Carve, the curved carbon seat stay and the carbon singleplug chain stay, both very stiff laterally to increase the stability during sudden turns and decrease the lateral deformation during the pedalling. The singleplug BB shell is in aluminium CNC machined, with the chain stay axis lowered respect the centre of the BB shell. The special shape Ø50 head tube increases the front stiffness of the frame. Dropouts: aluminium CNC machined with con interchangeable hanger. Fork: Columbus Carve Mega oversize, 100% carbon fibre and forged aluminium dropouts.
