The Chorus™ crankset with integrated bottom bracket has been completely redesigned with the new Ultra-Torque™ technology. Featuring unidirectional carbon combined with multi-directional carbon, to create strength and rigidity. Low-density, incompressible core resists enormous pressure. Bottom bracket semi-axles are fixed directly to the carbon structure and therefore, no need to add another insert (other than the one that houses the pedal thread.) Large integrated axle and external cups further improve the rigidity. It was not necessary to broaden the system laterally, especially in the bottom bracket zone, which resulted a weight reduction. Riders can benefit from superior performance while maintaining a steady pedal/cleat position and without suffering those annoying interferences with the crank.
